Japan, world's once second biggest economy, is among the first countries to articulate its Indo-Pacific vision. Then-Prime Minister Shinzo Abe delivered his famous "Confluence of the Two Seas" before the Indian Parliament back in 2007. In his more recent term as Japan's Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe once again reiterated Japan's interest to pursue a Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP). But what does Japan's FOIP entail?
