Indoor airPLUS Leader Awards

Applications for 2018 are now available. New this year:"Leader of the Year" and an award ceremony at the 2018 EEBA Summit. This award was created to recognize builder and Rater partners who not only construct and verify Indoor airPLUS qualified homes, but also actively utilize the Indoor airPLUS brand--through the use of sales, marketing, and educational tools--to educate homebuyers, trade professionals, and allied stakeholders about the importance of enhanced indoor air quality protections. NEW THIS YEAR: The Indoor airPLUS Leader Awards will be publicly announced in September 2018 and will be formally presented at the EEBA High Performance Home Summit, October 16-18, 2018 in San Diego, California. EPA will also be presenting a new award this year--the Indoor airPLUS Leader of the Year Award--to just one outstanding builder and Rater partner, selected from the pool of Leader Award winners. The builder winner may be selected from any of the builder categories. The Builder and Rater Leaders of the Year will be chosen based on their achievements with Indoor airPLUS over the previous year, as evidenced by the quality of their Leader Award application. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your great work at a nationally recognized conference for high performance building! These two Leader of the Year winners will be announced in-person during the award ceremony at the EEBA Summit. Also new this year: We are looking for your best Indoor airPLUS home. This section of the application is designed to give partners the opportunity to showcase a recent project they are most proud of and all the features contributing to the health and safety of the home. We are also encouraging short video submissions to highlight your work! See details in the applications below. Eligibility: To be considered eligible for the award, a partner must have participated with Indoor airPLUS at the following minimum levels: Previous Indoor airPLUS Leader Award Winners Read about builders and Raters that have won an Indoor airPLUS Leader Award. Builder Application (11pp. 561K, 2018) Have built at least three (3) Indoor airPLUS qualified homes in the previous year (2017). Affordable Builder Application (11pp. 516K, 2018) Have built at least three (3) Indoor airPLUS qualified homes in the previous year (2017). Rater Application (6pp. 455K, 2018) Have verified and reported at least ten (10) Indoor airPLUS homes in the previous year (2017).  *Builders of income-eligible housing typically designated for lower-income households whose construction is publicly subsidized by federal, state, or local housing agencies, usually via grants, loans, tax credits, and/or tax-exempt bonds. Eligible partners must submit a valid, complete application for the award and be in good standing with EPA regarding compliance with all applicable regulations. Raters must also be in good standing with their applicable oversight organization.
