Indwelling of the Holy Spirit Forever
Acts 2:1-7, 17-21, 24, 31, 41, 46; 1 Samuel 10:10-11; Joel 2:28-31; 2 Corinthians 1:22.
Pentecost is the day of Jesus's promise. It was a day when the disciples and the rest of the first church members received the indwelling of the Holy Spirit forever, which Jesus promised and God delivered.
We learned that they spoke in tongues or other languages as the Spirit gave utterance. Many bystanders came to know and understand Jesus's sacrifice and repented.
God filled the room with a wind and sent His Holy Spirit as tongues of fire to rest on the disciples and others in the upper room. God is a God of breathing, life, and cleansing. He gave His Holy Spirit to sanctify us and renew us daily in the image of Christ, as well as a seal of guarantee of his promise of the Holy Spirit.
I encourage you today to take hold of God so He can put His seal of His Holy Spirit on you, to walk with Him daily, and feel renewed every single time.
