Segment 1 (0:00- 7:37) - Host Greg Rakestraw previews a unique show as announcements are still waiting to be made on roster moves for the Indy Eleven. With Aodhan Quinn making all-USL second team, he runs through the other selections and also previews the rest of the show with the USL Playoffs coming down the home stretch.
Segment 2 (10:38-21:36) - In the second segment, Greg talks about the latest rumors in the MLS schedule with the World Cup coming up next summer. How will the playoffs happening later in the fall affect the viewership numbers for the die-hard and casual fans? Furthermore, with the weather getting colder in northern cities, how will it affect those places? Greg then brings it back to the USL and how they can capitalize on open windows to capture an audience.
Segment 3 (24:37-32:15) - John Morrissey of USL Tactics joins to discuss the USL playoffs and the themes from the last round. Morrissey explains how Rhode Island is built for the playoffs, how the Pittsburgh Riverhounds made the semi-final in exciting fashion and Tulsa going on the road to New Mexico United.
Segment 4 (35:16-43:55) - Stephen Gorton, head coach of the IPFW Mastodons, joins to talk about his teams run in the Horizon League conference tournament as first time members, the players who have made a huge impact, how he has tried to build his program i the Midwest and looks ahead to his team’s matchup with Cleveland State in the Horizon League conference championship. He talks about what it would mean personally and professionally to finish the job and send his team to the NCAA tournament.
Segment 5 (46:56-57:13) - To round out the show, Greg ends it with a feel-good story located in central Indiana. Lexi Heer of the U.S. Power Soccer National team joins the show to talk about the opportunities she’s been afforded to play soccer on a national level, representing the U.S. at a world cup, leading the team in goals, how the support of U.S. Soccer has helped Power Soccer.
