Its a two-parter, it's a long one but it's a wild story so of course I had so give you all the deets. John List grew up in a very strict, prideful and religious Lutheran home. He met and married Helen only 2 months after meeting her and they ended up having 3 children. By 1971, the time of the families deaths, John's life was falling apart. He was broke, he had been fired multiple time throughout his life, his marriage was shitty and so much more. In October of 71, he hatched a plan to "send his family to Heaven". Part one is ALL about John's life up until the day after the murders. Part two will contain crime scene brokedown, how John List got away for 18 years and of course the one of the most famous fugitive catches of all time.
