My mix is solely inspired by South Africa's music scene, specifically Amapiano. The sound is distinguished by its use of jazz elements, piano melodies, Kwaito baselines and so forth. Initially, Amapiano was classified as an underground sound that floated amongst townships but now Amapiano is extending its reach beyond South Africa by entering the club scenes around the world and I'm just doing my part in shining a light on it.
