Infinity War Sets China Box Office Records + Predator Trailer First Look - Movie Talk

THR reports that Avengers Infinity War has already taken in $47.5 million in pre-sales as of late Wednesday night in Beijing, China ahead of its release, with THR stating that all signs now point to a strong opening weekend in that territory, with estimates suggesting that it’ll be the first summer blockbuster movie to approach the $2 billion mark in worldwide earnings.
THR reports that four-time Oscar nominee Annette Benning will appear in in her first superhero movie after signing on for Captain Marvel. Details on her character are being kept under wraps but THR says she’s playing the part of a "scientist."
In an exclusive interview with Adam Chitwood on Collider.com, writer and producer of Bill and Ted Face the Music, Ed Soloman, revealed the plot to the third film in the Bill and Ted’s series. In the interview Soloman revealed that Bill and Ted are middle-aged men, with daughters from their wives who used to be princesses in medieval England (and who are now working double shifts at Denny’s). They have yet to write the song that will save the universe and when somebody from the future shows up and says, “You have 24 hours.
Variety reports that Stronger and Halloween director David Gordon Green is in final negotiations to direct a new Friday Night Lights movie at Universal. The movie is not a sequel to the first film or any kind of continuation of the NBC series as it’s intended to be its own thing. The story will still center on the high school football team’s quest for a championship and the social conflicts that arise within the relatively small Texas town.
A new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom TV spot was released yesterday showing more from the upcoming fifth movie in the series. Jeff Goldblum’s Ian Malcom warns that we’ve “entered a new era” by resurrecting “the most lethal predators this planet has ever seen.”
