It's hard to imagine that just 22 months ago, in April of 2020 inflation in the US stood at less than 1 1/2%. Inflation had been remarkably low for years. So low, in fact, the the Federal Reserve Board, made it one of their primary initiatives to increase inflation up to 2% on an annual basis.
