Influx - UK has had a wide and illustrious career as a producer and DJ, bringing us the latest jungle inspired liquid sounds, heavenly vocals and smashing beats, playing his part his Formation 200. It’s love speaks of intense starry nights spent in front of large stacks of speakers in summer, pure intensity given by the powerful vocal samples, reminiscent of Influx’s evolving career, and the rich history of the sounds at play. This also recalls the heyday of 90’s rave culture where once again ‘It’s Love’; the simplicity and beauty of the music takes us all back in a new way. Influx UK brought us the mammoth ‘2 Million & Rising’ LP as well as the epic ‘Souls Unite’ in 2005.
Formation’s ODER brings long-honed skills and the rework is smashing, bringing an intensity to Influx’s classic track. ODER is some of the world’s finest Drum & Bass on Formation 200, hailing from Porto, Portugal. Having been on tour with World Of Drum & Bass, ODER with this track represents Formation Records, bringing the best of the oldest classic Drum & Bass vibes through collaboration by pushing the envelope with the best modern production and mastering possible.
Influx UK produced 'Sing Out And Reach From The Soul, Baby' on the Formation 100 album, as well as many other releases over the years on Formation and this release brings together the old and the new with ODER’s remix; this is the very essence of Formation 200. ‘Formation 200’ is a celebration of everything the label has achieved in its near-30 year history. The longest running label in drum & bass, Formation and its various side labels have played a role in early careers of: DJ Hazard, Commix, Nero, The Prototypes, G Dub, John B, Matrix, Twisted Individual, Distorted Minds, the list goes on and on. 200 releases deep, Formation Records is true pillar of the scene and remains so to this day.
