When a person thinks about joint disorders they might not realize that some causes of joint deterioration and deformity can be caused by a disease state that also can affect internal organs. Connective Tissue is throughout our body and if the ligaments, tendons, bones and cartilage are affected by a disease process. Nearly every connective tissue disease has joint pain and swelling as primary symptoms. But there can be worrisome changes occurring on the molecular and cellular level behind the joint symptoms and there is risk for the disease to affect the persons internal organs.
