“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.” (John 14:10)

Above, Jesus made a shocking statement. If this message is true, it is profound and a deal breaker. Let me explain. Jesus, the perfect one and only Son of God, could NOT initiate anything. His words and works were a slave to His Father’s will being worked out from within. He was an instrument in God’s hands. That position is called sanctified. We, too, in Christ, cannot initiate any God thing, but we can submit to the Father’s every desire.
