Shaun Higgins has been a building since he was 15 years old. After working in Europe for a few years and trading ideas with builders there, he realised two things that changed his approach to building forever. The first is that New Zealand homes aren’t as energy-efficient or high-performing as they should be. And the second is how important it is to keep our homeland healthy for future generations. In response to this, Shaun founded Higgs Building Co., a family-fun business aiming to create homes and renovations that are dry and healthy without a big environmental footprint. Each project they complete sets a new standard for building in New Zealand.

In this episode, we sat down with Shaun to chat about new innovations in the building business, how he got into building, and how to be an effective leader in a the industry.
