Chis Palmer and Janice Keens discuss the innovation challenges coming from IP law and policy in the Caribbean. They look at recent oil finds in Guyana which are coupled with outdated IP laws , and the attempts by other Caricom countries to update their IP systems. All put together, this makes for an interesting and challenging maze of circumstances to navigate in the quest for development and improved livelihoods of Caricom nationals.
