In this PowerPoint themed lecture, Sheikh Bilal Homaysi discusses an important topic which is innovations in Islam. He starts off with the definition of innovations in Islam (Bid’ah) both linguistically and Islamically, types of innovations then moves on to giving some examples of good innovations in Islam and who initiated them and which are still practiced today. Evidence of the good innovation is also given directly from the Qur’an, the sayings of the Prophet and the scholars of Islam.
