This is the door lock from our old Bocker goods lift/hoist/elevators on one of the jobs I work on. It was retired recently due to increasing reliability issues and replaced with a very smart Geda mast climbing hoist.
I think it was operated by a solenoid at each level as these were for the landing doors.
It has a magnetic interlock so the bolt can only drop fully and also operate the door safety circuit when the door is present, as there is a magnet on the door that causes a latch to raise internally.
The new Geda hoist has door safety switches, but is physically locked with a very clever angled flap system that can only drop when both doors are closed, and then stops them from opening if the hoist is not at that level. The moving hoist has a linear actuator that pushes out a large metal plate to push the door release mechanism when it has stopped at that level.
On a plus note, the new hoist was also serviced by a guy with a very bold beard.
