Steve is the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. That's a long title for wanting to make a difference in the lives of those who are spending some or all of their life behind bars.

This is Steve's story of trying to make a difference behind the walls of a maximum security prison.

He's not alone. On a daily basis, thousands of men and women are working hard, risking their health, and at times, even their lives working with those who are incarcerated.
