The journey has been long, but after 36 years away, Canada is returning to the World Cup stage in Qatar next month and to fill us in with everything that has happened is none other than Alistair Johnston, the starting right back for the men's national team. Johnston gives great insight into what it has been like for the Canadian's starting from their opening games of World Cup qualifying to their most recent games versus Qatar and Uruguay. He explained how the team has prepared in the lead-up to the tournament through video, documents sent to him by John Herdman, and the games throughout qualifying. Johnston spoke in detail about his Canadian teammates Alphonso Davies, Tajon Buchanon and, his CF Montreal teammate, Kamal Miller.
