Even though we’ve never been there, we know that the Earth’s core is molten and hot. From the study of seismology, we've measured sound waves traveling through Earth and can tell that the core is super hot, just like the Sun. So it turns out, we walk over the Sun-like temperature every day! So why doesn't it fry us all?
