There's been lots of talk whether Taylor Swift will be on hand for tomorrow's victory parade in Kansas City - but a top city official now says she should stay away because they can't guarantee security. The news comes as Taylor and her entourage are spotted boarding a plane out of Las Vegas after celebrating her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s big Super Bowl win. And there's a Taylor Swift lyric for about everything and plenty of people are seizing on this one: “You Need to Calm Down” - when it comes to that now famous shove Travis Kelce gave coach Andy Reid during the game. Plus, a driverless Waymo was going thru San Francisco’s Chinatown - on the Chinese New Year…next thing you know, it was on fire. Jim Moret says it’s the latest example humans fighting back against machines. And if you live where the snow's been falling you already know this - this latest white stuff is the wet heavy kind. Every summer for the past seven decades, 50 high school seniors—one from every state—descend on Mobile, Alabama to take part in one of the country’s most lucrative scholarship competitions for teen girls. 




The Competition takes you behind the scenes of the Distinguished Young Women (DYW) program, and follows seven girls as they experience the highs and lows of competing for two weeks, away from home and under the most high-stress circumstances. Some girls enter for the money, some for prestige. All of them are used to being the best and the brightest. But only one will walk away with the top prize.




Host Shima Oliaee (Dolly Parton’s America, Pink Card) was Nevada’s contestant in 2001. More than 20 years later, she returns to Alabama as a judge. What can two weeks with 50 of the country’s most ambitious teens tell us about girlhood in America?

Plus, a man collapsed while cycling in the Arizona heat, but fortunately a nurse was nearby. As the woman worked to save his life…she started singing the Bee Gees hit “Staying alive” for a very good reason. Megan Alexander explains. And she famously played an A.I. robot in the movie Her, and now actress Scarlett Johansson is furious over the uncanny resemblance of an A.I. voice being used by a major tech company to her own. Johansson is taking legal action, suggesting the similarity is no accident.
