Founded by Michael Mabry and John Rothenberger nearly five years ago, One Play Development “saw the brokenness in the youth sports space and an opportunity to serve families and players in a really impactful way.”
They say transformational coaching is at the heart of everything they do and they want to help people get to where they want to be. So, in order to achieve that goal, they tapped former Gonzaga (D.C.) head coach Casey O’Neill, Director of Mental Performance Alec Wortman and Marquette head coach Andrew Stimmel.
Over the past year, One Play has taken a significant step forward, welcoming former Virginia assistant Kip Turner, former Rutgers assistant Eric Seremet, former High Point assistant Pat Tracy, former Hampton head coach Chazz Woodson, former Denver assistant Trevor Tierney, former Virginia Tech and William & Mary Head Coach Brooke Ireland, current PLL Whipsnakes midfielder Roman Puglise and development specialists Mugs Mickum and Dr. Abby Latona.
