The Sacramento County Disaster Council convened to establish a quorum and handle routine business, including adoption of bylaws with minor typographical corrections and the 2026 meeting calendar.

Presentations covered the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan update with public meetings planned in June, the Integrated Preparedness Plan (IPP) process and upcoming workshop to set multi-year training and exercise priorities, and the Fire Safe Council report on community wildfire prevention, grant efforts, and CWPP development.

Other actions included electing a city vice chair, approving the disaster service worker volunteer calendar, and emphasizing regional coordination and public engagement in emergency planning before adjournment.
