We continue with Pierre McGuire from NBC Sports on "Inside the Game" brought to you by flexxCOACH and flexxCOACH VR.

Pierre tells of how he got into broadcasting. He had the opportunity to work the english side of radio for the Montreal Canadiens hockey club. He was able to build on the radio side and wound up on TSN in Canada for broadcasting games. We discuss how he prepares for a broadcast on television. How he breaks things down and studies the teams and players. He gave a great example for a game he had coming up with Taylor Hall and how he changed the Boston Bruins. Pierre said you really need to study hard and smart. 

We get into youth sports and his children and how they have been working towards their goals and what it takes. He highlights his son Ryan and how he has been building towards playing for Colgate. He also breaks down why Colgate is the right fit for his son and how important academics is to him. 

Pierre wraps up the skills needed for hockey and skating and puck control are two skills which are vital to the success of players at all levels. Make it fun for the kids and they will want to play and have good time with their friends.
