The opposition to the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal focused on jobs, questions over economic benefit and possible threats to sovereignty. But in the light of the Trump administration and its more isolationist posturing,  Philippa Tolley ask  if the need for some sort of regional deal is crucial for security and stability.
