Inspiration from Zion from Jonathan Feldstein

Pastor Regan King of London’s Angel Church is on the frontline in many ways as an advocate for Israel, for Christian support for Israel and the Jewish people, to understand the truth about Israel, and while his name is not Daniel, he sits in a British Lion’s Den all the same. Listen to him unpack Britain’s tangled bond with Israel, from Balfour to today’s boycotts. He emphasizes scripture’s Jewish root, the Jewishness of Jesus, settler myths, and why October 7 buried the two-state slogan. For Christians unsure whom to believe, he offers a simple charge: open the Bible as authority. Person, people, place, promise.

Pens for Swords was born out of the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack, massacre, kidnapping and war that followed: Swords of Iron. It has grown into a grassroots movement of tens of thousands of people, making a vast impact through the sum of well researched campaigns and the power of the pen. Whether shutting down anti-Israel or antisemitic endeavors, local and national legislation, creating awareness, or just thanking those who stand up against the haters, the impact continues to be felt widely, in the short term and changing attitudes. What started as a group of people looking to do something individually in the wake of the war has grown into a powerful movement.

At the beginning of the new Biblical year, we begin reading the Torah again in the beginning, with Genesis – Bereshit. Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries is known for the original Blood Moons research without the scare-and-donate pitch, and Dr. Danny Ben-Gigi, former head of Hebrew at Arizona State, show why the New Testament is a Jewish book and why Christians miss it without Hebrew, culture, and the Tanakh. They talk their Torah from the beginning with Genesis and the Hebrew New Testament series. Their friendship and partnership models Jews and Christians learning together from the same root. Buckle up. Open Genesis. Go deeper.

On September 23, Neria Leiter became the latest victim of Palestinian Arab terror in Israel when he was run down by a terrorist. He remains in critical condition and needs our urgent prayers. Unfortunately Neria is only the latest victim in a terror culture and war that pervades and threatens Israelis daily. We know about Neria Leiter as compared to the hundreds of other terror victims because his father is the Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter. Unfortunately also, this is not the Leiters’ first experience of war and terror. In 2023, their son/brother Moshe was killed in combat. Please listen, join in prayer, lift up Neria and all the Leiters, and share this widely for others to do the same.

Israel’s October 27 national election is right around the corner, but in Israeli political life it’s still an eternity. How are Israeli voters evaluating who to vote for? What’s the most influential factor: the parties, their platforms, or the personalities behind them? How are votes calculated not only about which party to vote for, but who each party may or may not consider forming a coalition with? Three years after the most devastating attack on Israel how do issues of security and international diplomacy impact the vote? These and many other topics are on the minds of most Israelis, and are the topics of this next part in this series.

For nearly a century, the Moslem Brotherhood has had an agenda to infiltrate and conquer communities and countries around the world. Moslem Brotherhood ideology has become state theology in some Arab and Islamic countries including US allies. Western countries built on Biblical values are in their crosshairs. Their influence has been widely documented and exposed in media, academia, politics, and more. Today, on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attack in the United States, in the wake of the election of Islamists to public office in New York, for Congress and Senate, and in state elections, the upcoming US midterm election stands to be the most critical in terms of elevating Islamists into positions of influence, Islamic foreign electoral interference, the threat that is derived from these from outside actors like Qatar and Turkey, and from imported and home grown violent Islamist extremists (HVEs) within the United States.

Forgiveness is a unique concept in Judaism and Christianity, yet Jews and Christians approach forgiveness differently. Both offer profound teachings on mercy, repentance, and reconciliation—rooted in Torah, the Prophets, the Gospels, and centuries of interpretation. How do Jewish concepts like teshuvah and divine pardon relate to Christian ideas of grace and atonement? How do we approach forgiveness from our respective traditions on an individual basis, and in relation to God? Where do the traditions converge, and where do they diverge in theology and in practice? As we enter the High Holiday season, a cornerstone of which is about forgiveness, whether you bring personal insight, scholarly interest, or quiet curiosity, please a thoughtful conversation exploring Jewish and Christian perspectives on forgiveness.

Rabbi Yonatan Hambourger "discovered" the depth and reality of Christian support for Israel and the Jewish people through a Divine Appointment in rural Georgia. Since then, he has been embraced literally and figuratively by Christians across the state and beyond. He returns the embrace with love and respect, teaching Torah and Jewish insights in regular articles, online, in person and through his book "Echoes from Sinai." Join this conversation to hear how as an Orthodox Jewish Hasidic teacher, he made the transition from businessman in Los Angeles to becoming the Rabbi to Rural Georgia. With national elections in Israel less than three months away, many Israelis remain undecided about who they will vote for. The undecided vote could be the swing vote.

Join this conversation - the third part in a monthly series - with six undecided voters, and hear about what factors are going to influence their vote. Who are the people, what are the parties, and the policies that Israelis are looking at to make their choice in October, and why. In this conversation we look at polls, new parties, potential coalition partners, and projections about what may come out of the election.

Unfinished Business is more than a program to bring black Christian leaders for a groundbreaking trip to Israel, it is a continuation of the work and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who planned to bring 5000 black leaders on a pilgrimage to Israel in 1967. The trip never happened because Dr. King was assassinated, but today that remarkable consequential idea is being revived by Dr. Michael Stevens and Pastor Dumisani Washington. If you try to imagine what would have been had Dr. King brought his group as planned, today you can see that vision realized nearly six decades later. Join the conversation about why, why now, and why it’s so important.
