Listen Later

The inspiring woman that we have on the show today is Cori Close. She is the head women’s basketball coach of the UCLA Bruins. She is willing to share her story of struggle and triumph in such a raw and vulnerable way which gives insight into her leadership. She has this podcast laced with pearls of wisdom and lessons that she has learned from her parents, book authors, and none other than Coach John Wooden. One of the most inspiring things about her is her willingness to share her faith and her struggles.
Cori, of course has had much success in the athletics world. She is in her 6th season at UCLA and led her team to the sweet 16 in the NCAA tourney last season. For her efforts she was named the WBCA NCAA Div. 1 Region 5 Co- Coach of the year. In 2015 the Bruins won the championship of the WNIT for the first time in school history.
Before UCLA she spent seven seasons at Florida State as associate HC, nine seasons as an assistant at UC Santa Barbara and two at UCLA.
