We have the pleasure of getting to know the incredible mom, daughter, teammate, mentor, coach that is the successful leader of UCLA softball, Kelly Inouye Perez. Much like her UCLA counterparts that we have already featured on the podcast, Kelly has a great understanding that she is a part of something bigger than herself. Kelly shares her story about how sports shaped the confident woman she is today as well as why its important to challenge our kids, specifically daughters to pursue sports. She opens up about being a mom and balancing her career as well as the pressures she faces.
Kelly has experienced astounding success in her career as an athlete and coach. In her 29 years at UCLA she has won 7 National Championships, 8 Pac 10/12 titles. She spent 5 years as a player, 13 as an assistant and now is in her 11th year as Head Coach. She’s really fun! Enjoy!
