Long before Google… Tony and Maureen Wheeler enjoyed extensive travel together from the early 1970’s on. People would ask them of their experiences and there was very little available in the way of comprehensive travel guides. They began to fill an unrecognized market by writing their first travel guide and going on to establish Lonely Planet.
