In this episode of Talking Life with Jay Spurlock, Maggie Few, a Christian blogger, joins me to discuss her blog Giving Him My All. I met Maggie after speaking and sharing my story with her and the student ministry at her local church this past February. Maggie's passion and desire to share her faith is inspiring to many including myself.
In the fall of 2019, Maggie began writing posts on Instagram and using her social media platforms for the glory of the Lord. Eventually, in the Spring of 2020, she decided to say yes to the Lord and begin her blog called "Giving Him My All". Maggie loves to write about Bible verses, characters, and topics; whatever the Lord puts on her heart!
Maggie and I discuss her testimony, and how she continues to grow in her faith. We briefly discuss two of her blog posts: Hidden Idols and How to Identify Them and 5 Tips for a Motivated Quiet Time.
Be sure to go check out her blog -> Giving Him My All.

In this episode, I am joined by the Student Pastor at New Vision Church and my great friend, Todd Breiner. Todd pastors and leads the ever-growing student ministry at New Vision Church in Murfreesboro, TN. Todd has a unique way of discipleship that allows staff and volunteers (such as myself) come to observe, assist, and help. Once prepared, each disciple is given more opportunities to teach and lead others. This way of discipleship is based on the model Jesus teaches throughout the Bible. A model of discipleship that promotes the growth of leadership and ultimately leads to a more focused way of ministering to each individual.
As we chat, we discuss what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. Often we (Christians) often equate our discipleship as learning more and more about Jesus. We must continue past just gaining knowledge about Jesus, and remember we are also called to learn the divine nature of Jesus. Including our continual journey to become more and more like Him as we grow as a Christian.
Jesus's method of teaching His disciples followed the path below .....
1. Observe
2. Assist and Help
3. Sent Off to Disciple Others
