Instagib 10 (Ghetto Noob Clap)

Listen Later

Aidan: Greetings fellow nerds, it is June 28th, 2012, and welcome to episode #10 of the Instagib podcast, the one stop shop for multiplayer gaming goodness.  My name is Aidan Feay,  and I'm joined, as for once, by the slightly disgruntled player 2, Jason.
Jason: “I feel like I’m stuck using the Mad Catz controller with the broken analog stick...”
Aidan:  “That’s what I like to hear.”
Aidan: Not only are we here, but we’ve brought a guest to enhance your audio experience! First, the indomitably odd slayer of stick figures , Isaac.
Jason: We’ve got some great stuff for you this week, including 2D missile physics, dismembering kick-flips, and some butt contractions.

What have we been playing this week? (MP terms, of course)
NEW SEGMENT? - Fail of the week

Jason: WoW warrior.  Switched to fury, had terrible DPS and kept getting booted from groups.  Realized that I forgot to actually equip a second weapon.
Aidan: Playing some 3v3 on TF2, my whole team goes AFK leaving me to face 3 engies
Isaac: Attempted to launch Tribes: Ascend and it took an hour and a half before I learned that there was an avg protection thing popped up on my computer’s other profile.

Justin Holmes
1 : Jeeze how old actually are you Tadpole? You sound in your early 20s.
2 : What was your first love in videogames? (As in what was the game you fell in love with first not the female/male character in a game. Though you can answer that too if you wish.)
3 : What do you think about game companies fracturing their player bases, mainly seen with shooters, with DLC. Such as say Call of Duty. Players on console will only be able to join certain play lists  if they have DLC, especially later into a game's lifespan when there may be potentially four or five DLC packs. What is your opinion's on this?
4 : League of Legends? Yay or Nay? If Yay, game sometime?
5 : Would you recommend joining Clans/communities  for PC gaming? I was talking about BF3 and how I just wasn't getting into it with the manager at the local games store I frequent. I played a lot of the console version of Bad Company 2 but BF3 for PC just didn't hook me as much. He recommended playing in a community, as seeing the same faces and players on the same servers makes PC gaming what it is. What are your thoughts? As I'm fairly new to anything PC gaming that isn't Blizzard or League and I want to get into it more.
