To quote obnoxious celeb fashionistas, "Who wore it better?".
This week Instagram released a new update called Instagram Stories which brings to their platform a feature that has been available on Snapchat for some time now. So at this moment and time, the biggest difference between Snapchat and Instagram is that Instagram still does not allow you to vomit rainbows or use a geo-filter that helps you prove what neighborhood you are in at the time you share a photo or video.
Of course copying other people, or companies ideas and making them better have been an issue since the beginning of time. Imagine the thought of being the first person to somehow connect a number of pieces of wood together in a flat square then placing it in a body of water to create the raft, only to have someone come along who could create a newer design allowing it to float while a good portion of the craft was under the water while passengers stayed dry? Surely the raft creator felt bad when the crowd forgot about their creation.
Similar thing here. Will Instagram Stories help usher in a decline in Snapchat users? Only time will tell, but we discuss this and much more on this episode of the Tech Informist podcast.
