The Tampa Bay Buccaneers pulled off an epic comeback to edge the Houston Texans 20-19 in a thriller. After taking a 14-10 lead, both defenses clamped down. The Bucs’ defense was outstanding, holding the Texans to just 84 rushing yards and 266 total yards of offense.
Special teams nearly cost Tampa Bay the game, with a missed 39-yard field goal, a blocked punt deep in their own territory, and a 53-yard punt return fueling Houston’s 19 points. But when it mattered most, the defense held strong—giving Baker Mayfield one last chance.
Trailing 19-14 with two minutes to play, Mayfield orchestrated a masterful 11-play, 80-yard drive that ended in the game-winning touchdown. With the win, the Buccaneers improve to 2-0 for the fifth straight season and now set their sights on a Week 3 showdown with the Jets.
