This is where we start to understand the concept of spending less than we earn and the magic of 10%. The pyramid gets us really thinking about our protection needs and the value of putting a plan together to protect the money you have spent your time earning. One or more of the three uncontrollable events, if not more, will happen to you and your significant other.

We’ve established an understanding of your beliefs and where your coming from. Now we need to look at your current situation - what you have in place for a plan already. From here we’ll discover gaps, if any, that need to be filled. This analysis is two parts long (Part 2&3).

In order to find specific answers we first have to start with general foundation discovery questions. These questions help both you as a potential client and me as an advisor uncover what you believe and where to go from here. It may be worth your time recording your answers for your own benefit throughout this mini series.

I personally love to hear stories about people and how they got to where they are today or how they accomplished what they have or why they did what they did. So in that same spirit I thought I would do just that, and what better way to kickoff this podcast than to be a little vulnerable!
