The integration of our returns with our audit system is important to discuss with our vendors to ensure compatibility and ease of use. With the recent push to cloud-based software, many vendors have created specific niche software that may not be compatible with other vendors. This can create a problem when trying to get the same software to communicate with each other. As accountants, we need to be able to have a high-level discussion about security and what we can do to protect our data. Additionally, we need to be able to discuss how we can get out of the office faster, and share documents with clients.
