Mainly focused on drum & bass and techno, from atmospheric soundscapes to dancefloor bangers, Deskai found a balance between these opposites due to his versatile creativity and wide music tastes. With strong worldwide DJ support of his music from LTJ Bukem, DJ Ink, Renaat Vandepapeliere, Paco Osuna and more, Deskai has released numerous jungle and drum & bass tracks to labels such as Renegade Hardware, Scientific Records, Next Phase Records, Warm Ears Music, Offworld Recordings, Modulate Recordings, Omni Music, Monochrome Recordings, Soul Deep Recordings, Liquidz Spirit and others, alongside his minimal and tech house tracks on labels as Klectik Records, What Now Becomes, D-Lab Records, Sub.spiele Records, SuperPitch, Ambiosphere Recordings, Moira Audio and Speedsound Music.

Paying a lot of attention recently to creating downtempo and trip-hop music and being a certified audio engineer, having extensive discography and experience in performing as a DJ and recording studio mixes, Oliver has become one of the most important guests of our podcast.

His mix combines different times and influences of drum & bass music, from classic atmospheric melodies to modern liquid and deep vibes, presenting a vast vision and rich music heritage, while remaining invariably deep and introversive.

Talking about the future mixes with our authors, we give them the freedom to choose material, the only criterion is always depth and emotionality. But when we make offers to musicians people to record their mixes for us, we have a rough idea of what to expect.

That's in case with the podcasts focused on drum & bass sound. Things are much more interesting with the releases in which the authors present their favorite music outside of this broadest musical direction today.

Today is just such a case. Collector and DJ from Dusseldorf, Germany, whom we have been following for a long time, known earlier by his alias Elusive Beats, provided for us an amazing mixtape of various rare electronics and deepest ambient.

We're proud to present the next episode of Intelligent Music Podcast with excellent deep and atmospheric drum & bass mix from talented finnish producer and DJ Ilkka Kurkela a.k.a. Mineral.

He is inspired by drum & bass sound since the mid of 90's and has released the tracks on well-known labels as Med School Music, Lightless Recordings, In Da Jungle, LAOS Recordings, Trust In Music, Mastik Netlabel and others. Ilkka also actively collaborates with other Finnish musicians: Resound, Fanu and Esc.

We found out about him 8 years ago, with the competition by the Knowledge Magazine, when his remixes of the tracks by Seba and Blu Mar Ten sounded among hundreds of other works. Our joy from finding such a nugget was soon reinforced by his other tracks, which are always melodic and musical, but the same time have a completely dance floor tinge.

In January 2020 on our Soundcloud feed drops his new outstanding promo mix and since that time we have an idea to book this musician for record one of the episodes of Intelligent Music Podcast. And now here it is!

Deep and atmospheric, sublime mix by Mineral with some favorites and his own tunes including dubplates and forthcoming works already in our speakers and headphones. Let's flight!

Vasilis Kesalidis, born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, is active music producer for over ten years and demonstrates an impressive diverse spectrum of electronic music involved in process with collaboration projects like One Arc Degree, Fabrics, Space Scavengers and Speedhack.
