Today's Angel Card Word of the Day is "Vision" telling us to see the bigger picture and shape the future we desire. We tend to have misconceptions about meditating and feel that we suck at it because we have intrusive thoughts. You do not have to blank out your brain. Meditation is being with your thoughts and then watching them go. Be gentle with yourself as it is a meditation practice. Think of it similar to baggage claim in an airport, you can watch the baggage go by and choose your luggage to pick up, we don't need to pick it all up. We have moments of overthinking, use the body because we cannot shut off our brain. Place your attention where you would like your focus to go. Think, sense, and feel to become aware of what you are focusing on. Why is it important to meditate? We have the human and the soul, meditation allows you to separate the two and allow your soul to communicate with your human. Meditation is different for everyone, it does not need to be formal. The strictness is in the consistency of meditating daily, not how you meditate. What we are fighting is your perception of it, do not believe that you can't just because it doesn't look like how you were taught to think it should look.
