Der Vortrag behandelt Entstehung, Geschichte, Ideologie und Funktionsweise des Rassismus. Durch eine materialistische Rekonstruktion wird deutlich, wie rassistische Konzepte aus den Ideen der Aufklärung, der Wissenschaft und des Fortschritts entstanden sind. Die in sich widersprüchlich erscheinende Ideengeschichte der Moderne kann erst durch eine Konfrontation mit der Geschichte ihrer ökonomischen Entwicklung verstanden werden. Daran zeigt sich, wie die weltweiten Kämpfe um Freiheit und Unfreiheit, Gleichheit und Ungleichheit auf dem Zusammenhang von Ökonomie und Philosophie beruhen.

In seinem Vortrag „Nationalsozialistische Philosophie“ stellt David Palme die These auf, dass es eine originär nationalsozialistische Philosophie gibt und gab. Er wendet sich dabei gegen Positionen, wie die des Konstanzer Philosophen Gereon Wolters oder des Chemnitzer Totalitarismusforschers Lothar Fritze, die entweder behaupten im Nationalsozialismus habe es keine eigene Philosophie gegeben bzw., die Ansichten dieser Zeit seien nicht von „normaler“ Philosophie zu unterscheiden. Solche Erklärungen hält er für einen unzulässige Freispruch der Philosophie, und widerspricht ihnen daher im Verlauf des Vortrags auf Basis der historischen Quellen. So habe es eine von NS-Institutionen geförderte akademische Forschung gegeben, die auf philosophische Fragen philosophische Antworten im Sinne des NS lieferte. Dies wird anhand zahlreicher Zitate von NS-Autoren belegt, u.a. Alfred Bäumler, August Faust oder dem Marburger Erich Jaensch. Die Frage, was dabei als „nationalsozialistisch“ zu gelten habe wird als zentrales Problem behandelt, an das sich weitere philosophische Überlegungen anschließen. Die Philosophie hat es bisher versäumt, sich der Auseinandersetzung um die eigene Rolle in Bezug auf den NS zu stellen. Der Vortrag fordert, dies endlich nachzuholen.

Den zweiten Vortrag der Ringvorlesung hält Samuel Salzborn, der derzeit die Professor für Grundlagen der Sozialwissenschaften am Institut für Politikwissenschaft der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen innehat. In seinem Beitrag setzt er sich auf theoretischer Ebene mit dem Begriff des Extremismus und verschiedenen Erscheinungsformen auseinander. In einem nächsten Schritt geht Salzborn auf die unterschiedlichen Erklärungsansätze von Extremismus ein. Er erläutert, weshalb aus seiner Sicht der Ansatz des ‚Extremismus der Mitte‘ anderen Erklärungsansätzen vorzuziehen ist. Dieser geht auf den amerikanischen Soziologen Seymour Martin Lipset zurück, der ihn 1959 unter dem Label „extremism of the center“ entwickelt hat. Mit dem Erklärungsansatz des ‚Extremismus der Mitte‘, sei es Salzborn zufolge sowohl in der Forschung wie auch in politischen Auseinandersetzungen eben nicht möglich, Rechtsextremismus als Rand(gruppen)phänomen zu deklarieren.

15.04.2015: Antidemokratisches Denken in Wissenschaft und Hochschule – Einführung in die Ringvorlesung (Ursula Birsl, Marburg)
In der Auftaktveranstaltung gibt Ursula Birsl, Professorin für Demokratieforschung mit den Schwerpunkten EU, Politische Systeme im europäischen Vergleich und der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, einen Überblick über die Anlässe, die die zur Organisation dieser Veranstaltungsreihe geführt haben und verdeutlicht die Zusammenhänge zwischen den thematischen Schwerpunkten der Ringvorlesung. Als roter Faden durch die Vorlesungsreihe zieht sich der Fokus auf verschiedene Formationen antidemokratischen Denkens, ihr Ausdruck und ihre Auswirkungen in Lehre und Forschung. Dabei ist die Ringvorlesung konzeptionell in drei Blöcke gegliedert: I. Einführung: Theorielandschaft um Rechtsextremismus und Extremismusbegriff, II. Extreme Rechte an Hochschulen – Erscheinungsformen und Aktivitäten und III. Bildung und Beratung – Gegenkonzepte.

Am 26.05.2014 hat die Projektgruppe „Militante Untersuchung aus kritisch-feministischer Perspektive“ ein Vortrags- und Diskussionsveranstaltung zu ihrem Thema organisiert. Dafür wurden drei Referentinnen eingeladen, die von ihren jeweiligen Erkenntnissen zu Militanten Untersuchungen berichteten.

Am 20. April laden wir zu einer Veranstaltung mit dem Antifaschistischen Frauenblock Leipzig ein:
Warum wird das Thema Feminismus in weiten Teilen der Linken nach wie vor mit spitzen Fingern angefasst? Wieso bleibt ein antisexistischer Anspruch oft inhaltsleer, sobald es über konkrete Übergriffe hinausgeht? Und warum treten in Auseinandersetzungen mit Sexismus immer wieder antifeministische Stereotypenbilder auf den Plan?
Die üblichen Reaktionsweisen von Wortlosigkeit bis Polemik auf antisexistische und feministische Texte und Interventionen zeigen zumindest etwas sehr deutlich: es wird Zeit, dass die ganze Sache mal auf den Tisch kommt. Wir wollen, um der allgemeinen Sprachlosigkeit etwas entgegenzusetzen, unsere Einschätzung des Status Quo von Feminismus und die Präsenz von Antifeminismus in der Linken vorstellen und mit euch diskutieren.

Antifaschistischer Frauenblock Leipzig
Extrem rechte und rassistische Einstellungen und Verhaltensweisen von Jugendlichen stellen Schulen vor eine schwierige und vielschichtige Aufgabe. Gemeinsam sind Lehrer_innen, Schüler_innen und Eltern auf die Entwicklung erfolgreicher Strategien gegen Rechtsextremismus im Rahmen ihrer Schule angewiesen. Eine solche Strategie zu entwickeln, ist ein herausfordernder Prozess, der gleichermaßen Chancen und Grenzen schulischer Rechtsextremismusprävention offen legt. In ihrer Dissertation hat Gabi Elverich die Umsetzung eines Modellprojekts demokratischer Schulentwicklung an einer ostdeutschen Schule rekonstruiert und evaluiert.
Gabi Elverich ist Studienreferendarin an einer Berliner Gesamtschule und Mitglied im Forschungsnetzwerk Frauen und Rechtsextremismus. Sie befasst sich seit vielen Jahren im Rahmen von Forschung und als Referentin der politischer Bildungsarbeit mit den Themen Rechtsradikalismus und (Anti-)Diskriminierung.
