Ravi Pillay is a member of the Gordon Institute of Business Science and he wrote a couple of articles on issues of food safetey. He points out how contamination takes place in the food supply chain that can leave a very devastating effect on consumers. The outbreak of listeriosis was a classic example of this. Our guest is of the view that a collective effort is needed from the origion of the product, shop floor to the consumer which can avoid a situation where people get sick or even die from contamination.
