This is our third episode from our Hold the Line Conference Series, and just like our previous guest, Instructor Sgt. Kenny Williams instructs with Street Cop Training. Williams is one of the country’s leading experts in criminal vehicle interdiction. Additionally, he is a fully certified EPIC and DIAP instructor. Williams began his career in 2007, and currently works as a full-time K9 interdiction officer. Over his career, he has worked with 2 single purpose dogs, and has been personally responsible for the seizure of over 6 million dollars in cash, several hundred pounds of illicit narcotics, and well over a ton of marijuana. Williams has received countless awards for his work from numerous organizations and has established a national reputation.⁣

He was teaching his Interdiction Mastermind class at the Hold the Line K9 conference. His course was intended to give police officers a clear understanding of what it means to be an effective criminal interdiction officer. Williams broke down, piece by piece, the tactics and mindset utilized by proactive police officers. He covered the importance of vehicle selection for a pre-textual stop, and went through how and why he chooses specific vehicles. Having this knowledge can save countless hours of trial and error.
