This week, Rachael speaks to Ceri who has spent 8 years working in vet practises before making the move to an International Technical Manager in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry for a company called Dechra. In her role, she supports internal sales and marketing teams with her veterinary knowledge as well as supporting vets with queries and training in relation to Dechra’s medication based products. Ceri had always wanted to work with animals ever since she was a little girl where she’d set up a wildlife vet clinic in her garden shed, and after working in vet practises wanted a new challenge. Ceri shares how the skills she developed as a vet are completely transferable to her current role today, her tips on having a smooth transition from a vet role into industry as well as why her current role still includes the things she loved from her original vet role without the downsides.
