Episode 1 – What I’ve Learned About the Power of Women
📢 Welcome to the very first episode of Shay’s Green! Today, we’re diving into an essential topic: the power of women.
To mark International Women’s Day, I want to share a personal and thought-provoking take on what it means to be a woman in today’s world.
👉🏾 Growing up as a woman means absorbing beliefs we don’t always question.
We’re often taught—sometimes without words—that our worth is tied to how we’re perceived by others, how well we fit expectations, how much we please. But over time, I realized that my value has never been defined by the male gaze, by relationships, or by societal norms.
📌 So, where does real strength come from?
It comes from many sources, but one of the most powerful pillars in my life has always been the women around me—the ones who have supported my ambitions, my choices, and my battles. The women who have been my first allies as an entrepreneur, investor, and leader.
💡 In this episode, we’re breaking down:
✔️ How society, often unconsciously, shapes our perception of women’s roles.
✔️ What I’ve learned throughout my journey: the undeniable power of female support.
✔️ Why women drive the global workforce yet remain underrepresented in leadership and decision-making roles.
📊 The numbers speak for themselves:
• Women perform 66% of the world’s work, yet earn only 10% of global income and own less than 2% of land.
• Companies with at least 30% women in leadership are 15% more likely to be profitable.
• Peace agreements with female participation are 35% more likely to last long-term.
👉🏾 In this episode, we break down these statistics with real-life examples and clear explanations to understand their impact and the inequalities that persist.
💡 Why this episode matters:
Because gender equality isn’t just about fairness—it’s about efficiency and performance. Companies, governments, and institutions that integrate women into leadership perform better and make better decisions.
🎙️ A key message:
Now, more than ever, it’s time to recognize the power of women, acknowledge their impact in shaping the world, and give them the space they deserve.
🔥 Listen to this episode, and share it with a woman who inspires you.
💛 To all the women who fight, create, and lead—this episode is for you.
