Episode 10 Small Changes
1. Avoid media and social media for 1 hour after waking because it puts you into a reactive state. You are training your brain to be addicted to distraction for the rest of the day.
2. Consider how consuming media before bed is effecting the quality of your sleep.
3. Think about what you could be doing instead of watching Netflix. Make a list of three skills you would like to learn or topics you would like to explore.
4. Try leaving your phone at home one day a week
5. Use the Internet as a tool, not a social security blanket and time-filler. Be intentional with your Internet use.. Ask yourself, what are you looking for and why?
6. Consider that getting off social media may actually IMPROVE your social life because you are able to prioritize your friends and obligations based on value and personal growth, not nostalgia or image.
