Scripture is written using various literary genres. These genres necessitate particular considerations to properly interpret. In this lecture, we examine the genres of narrative and parables. A significant portion of scripture is narrative. We look at some common ways that narratives and parables are misunderstood and also the principles that help us determine what truth we are to glean from these passages.
