Cooperative education – also known as co-op – plays a unique role in a student’s college experience. A paid, full-time work experience, co-op helps students achieve success through experiential learning and gives them a real-life taste of work in their chosen field. Maria Richart, director of RIT’s Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education, talks with student Wil Seifried about this unique feature of the RIT experience and how students can make the most of their co-op opportunities.
