At the Infinity Science Center in Mississippi there are a few Interstate 10 Roadside Attractions. The first is the giant rocket for Apollo 19. The giant first stage of the Saturn V rocket that would have blasted Apollo 19 to the moon -- if that flight hadn’t been cancelled -- sat next to a highway in Louisiana since 1978. In June 2016 it was moved to neighboring Mississippi, where it sits next to a bigger highway.

To be able to get up close and personal with the rocket you do have to pay the entrance fee to the Infinity Science Center, but it’s so worth the stop on your road trip because there is so much to do in this science center, which I will cover in a future video.
