David Shumate is the editor in charge of our most recent issue of FrontLine, with the subject, “Gambling, What’s the Big Deal?” He also serves as the academic dean of International Baptist College and Seminary in Chandler, Arizona.
Dave wrote the lead article for this issue of the magazine. In a recent podcast, we talked about the overall thrust of the magazine. This week, Dave sat down with me to discuss the article he wrote for the magazine, “Gambling and the Bible.” The article appeared in two parts.
The objective of the article was to show from the Bible why gambling is always wrong, both from a direct statement that has a broad application and from several Biblical principles that make gambling a real harm to the individual gambler and to those he gambles with.
