This edition of the podcast introduces the March/April 2025 edition of FrontLine on the subject "The Self-Deception of Substance Abuse."
Our culture has long been plagued by the use of intoxicating substances which bear a heavy cost in the lives of many. Some may dismiss our concerns as legalistic and destructive of Christian liberty, but probably no home in America has not been touched by substance abuse in one way or another. It is foolish to assume we are immune and "it could never happen to me, or to my family."
This issue of our magazine seeks to inform about the realities of substance abuse in several areas. Gordon Dickson was in charge of this edition as the Associate Editor and I sat down with him to discuss the magazine and his contribution to it in an article called, "Alcohol as a Beverage: What Does the Science Say?"
I think you will find the discussion enlightening. I hope you will get a copy of the magazine and take in its instruction.
Gordon's article is available on our Substack right away for paying subscribers. We have previews for everyone else. I hope you will join with us and support the ministry of the FBFI by becoming a paying subscriber and subscribe to FrontLine magazine.
Books mentioned during the podcast:
* The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business Charles Duhigg
* Alcohol Explained William Porter
* Addictions: A Banquet in the Grave: Finding Hope in the Power of the Gospel Edward T. Welch
