Damien Mander, founder of International Anti-Poaching Foundation talks about Africa’s first armed, all-women anti-poaching unit known as the Akashinga (The Brave Ones). This community-driven conservation model empowers disadvantaged women to restore and manage large wilderness areas and Mander talks about how they work with rather than against the local population for the long-term benefits of their own communities and nature.
