An advertising campaign by vehicle
manufacturer BMW has been criticised by some South
Africans who feel it undermines their dignity. The advert

shows a tagline with the phrase: “I am my ancestors'
wildest dream.”  But there is a line through the word
ancestors. The brand says it was intended to showcase
diversity and inclusion. We now speak to Asanda
Ngoasheng, Diversity Expert. We reached out to BMW
but they haven’t responded as yet.
