This year marks 60 years since Nelson Mandela was captured by the apartheid police in Howick in the KZN midlands. The place is now known as the Nelson Mandela Capture Site which features a steel sculpture of Mandela and a visitor center. We now find out more about the second annual arts festival which will take place at the capture site from 3 to 8 May 2022. We’re joined on the line by Ismail Mohamed, Director of the Centre for Creative Arts at UKZN.
