Chris Cathers is a former US Army Green Beret and CIA paramilitary Global Response Staff (GRS) contractor with 12 deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, and North Africa.  He is a turnaround specialist and operating expert with over 15 years of experience in the manufacturing, defense, and service industries.

For years, Chris silently struggled with post-traumatic stress (PTS), depression, and suicidal ideation, fearful that such a diagnosis would negatively impact his career. His symptoms reached the breaking point in 2011, which almost resulted in Chris taking his own life.  If not for one of his closest friends' intervention, Chris would have undoubtedly been among the 22 per day statistics.

Our discussion covers his experience with Special Forces, transitioning to civilian life and dealing with PTSD, Cancer and Suicide. We also discuss his current project championing veteran suicide awareness and resolution.
